Special Election to fill vacancies in office-

If more than one person files to become Sheriff under a political party, a primary election would be held the 11th Tuesday after the vacancy occurs, with a runoff primary occurring the 13th Tuesday after the vacancy occurs. 

The special election would be held on the 20th Tuesday after the vacancy occurs………... 

IF the special election occurs within 60 days of a General Election, (Spartanburg County Does have a General Election Nov 4th 2025 for School Board and Municipal Elections), then the special election would occur on the general Election Date.

Thank you for reaching out.  My family has been affected by the opioid crisis almost losing two members to overdoses. 

First step would be to see what the current status and focus is of the narcotics unit. 

The state sets the fines for simple possession charges. I would run the stats on those who have been arrested for that charge and see what the actual fine brought in. Most of it goes to the state. 

I agree with getting to the dealers. I want to be visible in the community and be approachable if we are in the dealer's  neighborhoods and the neighbors feel

comfortable calling these tips in or talking to us.  I had started a web-based program, Community Connect, which had a place for  anonymous tips to include photos and videos, but I retired before seeing it to fruition due to the climate in the office. 

I would like to expand the gang unit to try and prevent the crimes committed by those gangs.  This also starts in our schools... and have our SRO’s know what to look for.  Teaching the value of things, especially  human life.  

Getting all agencies on a shared Records Management System would benefit the whole county. I believe this would be a start.
